Stephen Douglas Rees, Jr. is a member who joined the firm in 2005. Mr. Rees, Jr. concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, land use and zoning, code enforcement defense, and administrative law.

REAL ESTATE
Mr. Rees, Jr. assists his clients with research and due diligence for the purchase and sale of residential, commercial, industrial and recreational lands throughout the West Coast of Florida. Mr. Rees, Jr. is an underwriting attorney with title insurance companies in the State of Florida.

LAND USE AND PLANNING
Mr. Rees, Jr. counsels and advises his clients regarding all levels of land use and development including subdivision of lands, rezonings, special exceptions, and comprehensive plan amendments. Mr. Rees, Jr. represents clients along the west coast of Florida including Hillsborough County, Manatee County, Sarasota County, Charlotte County, Lee County, Collier County, Desoto County, Pasco County, Polk County, and the numerous municipalities therein.

CODE ENFORCEMENT
Mr. Rees, Jr. represents property owners subject to Code Enforcement and Code Compliance orders from the local governments. Mr. Rees, Jr. assists with all levels of representation before the code enforcement boards and counsels and advises clients during the negotiations for compliance.

Mr. Rees, Jr. is admitted in Florida and United State District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Mr. Rees, Jr is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Federal Bar Association. Mr. Rees, Jr. is an honors graduate of Bates College and a graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. Mr. Rees, Jr. is an active member of the Bates College Alumni Association and the St. Stephen's Episcopal School Alumni Association.
