John J. Waskom

John J. Waskom is a shareholder of the firm. His practice is devoted to estate planning, guardianships, probate administration and business transactions. In addition, he focuses his practice in handling contested or litigated matters relating to estates, trusts and guardianships.

To provide more complete representation, Mr. Waskom is also admitted to the Federal Courts in the Middle District of Florida. Often, contested estate or trust matters require appellate practice or Federal Court filings. Many of Mr. Waskom’s cases are published in the state and federal case reporters .

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Waskom worked in corporate America for such notable companies as General Electric and United Technologies. His career steps included work as a financial analyst and as a manager of logistics and distribution. Mr. Waskom obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1992. While attending law school he focused his legal education on estates, tax law and litigation. He graduated with honors and is a member of the Order of the Coif .

Mr. Waskom received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee with high honors in 1979. He majored in finance and next obtained a Masters of Business Administration degree in 1983.
