Arthur D.Ginsburg is a past President of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, past Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, was appointed by the Supreme Court to the Commission on Family Law, and is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a marital and family lawyer. Art has also been President of the Sarasota County Bar Association and a past chairman of the Judicial Qualification Commission of the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Art was also a lobbyist for the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar and for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been a continuing legal education speaker and an adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Florida College of Law. Art is "AV" rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" (published by Woodward White) each year since the inception of that publication.

The family law section of Icard Merrill is the largest in the circuit. This group works as a team when necessary and has a paralegal specialist in custody and other marital and family law matters. Available to our family law attorneys and paralegals are a group of outstanding business, corporate and real estate attorneys and attorneys specializing in tax and estate planning, to prepare and protect clients from future problems and to aid in the preparation of marital settlement agreements and pre- and post-nuptial agreements. Our attorneys are devoted to attempting to resolve matrimonial and family matters through mediation but are fully prepared to try any cases or issues which fall short of resolution in mediation.

Prior to specializing in marital and family law, Art had a general trial practice in which he did personal injury and malpractice litigation. Art has handled numerous high profile custody and matrimonial matters and was the winning lawyer in the internationally publicized Twiggs v. Mays "baby swap" case. He has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, Barbara Walters Special, The Oprah Winfrey Show and other national and international news programs. In addition, Art has been an officer in many local charitable organizations, including United Way and Family Counseling Center. He was a little league football coach for fifteen years and is past President of the Sarasota County University of Florida Alumni Association.
